Glengarry Inn cider was created to satisfy the discerning palate of pub owner David. Having sampled many different products over the years and managed pubs he knows exactly what his customers want in a cider. He wanted to offer a premium cider that would appeal to his clients' taste buds. When he took over the Glengarry Inn eight years ago, he had a clear vision for the cider selection.
Together with Glengarry publican David Barnes’ wealth of experience in the industry and Axel, vineyard manager and expert winemaker at Narkoojee and been around vineyards since the age of 15, they have created a cider that is the perfect balance of not-too-sweet cider with more savoury and complex flavours. The combination of Axel's, David's, and the customers' tastes is what makes Glengarry Inn Cider a cut above the rest.
The cider is made using only the finest apples, grown in the pristine environment of Gippsland and uses an innovative wild fermentation process with indigenous yeast instead of commercially added ones. The cider is then transferred to barrels made of French Oak, which helps it mature before being bottled. This attention to detail, combined with Axel's knowledge of plant physiology and wine chemistry, results in a cider that is truly premium.
